How do I boost my study skills in college?
I'm currently in UT, and I've been getting low B's and C's. I've done what I could to boost my skills. I've watched other students making high grades while I'm just here, failing what I'm trying to achieve. I don't want to give up Is it that I have to limit myself? I've been putting GREAT amount of studying this past semester. IT does nothing great for me. Yes, I have been studying the right thing, understanding the concepts, applying them... everything. Why am I getting these grades... it doesn't seems to match my efforts and knowledge. I feel that I have to work harder than everyone else to get an average grade.

What are some ways to improve study skills and test taking skills?
Hi so I was wondering what would be a good way to improve study and test taking skills. I have a hard time staying focused. I want to improve my study skills. When it comes to tests I feel like I blanked out and don't know anything. I get frustrated. Please give good suggestions, not anything like smoking a blunt " Study high, take the test high, get high scores." LOL < 3 please though, help

Is it a bad idea to try and teach myself english grammar and punctuation, maths and study skills? i want to?
teach myself these basic skills before i enrol in some type of college or university course. im 25 years old. do you think its a bad idea or should i just enrol in an adult learning course instead? i believe if i learn correct study skills i should be able to teach myself grammar and punctuation in no more than 5 months. what do you think?

What are good study skills to use for AP classes?
I'm a Junior in High school. I'm currently doing AP Biology & AP English 3 summer homework. This is my first time taking an AP class & I'm REALLY worried. How can I stay on top of my AP classes as well as my regular classes? I know that Junior year is really the MOST important year in high school and I cannot screw this up. My freshman year I had a 3.8 first semester and a 4.0 second semester. My sophomore year I had a 3.3 first semester I really screwed up and my second semester I got a 3.8. I want to have at least a GPA of 3.8 in both semesters of Junior year but I don't know how I can maintain good grades in all 8 classes including the 2 AP classes.

What are your study skills?
I'm in 8th grade Earth Science and we have a HUGE 100 pt. test coming up and I'm so nervous Our teacher gave us this big packet of stuff we need to know, and it's like, 20 pages. So I wanted to know how you would study this stuff. I'm so scared and I've been crying a lot because my grade means a lot to me and I would be so mad if I got a bad grade. So do you have any tips or something. I'm not a good studier because I used to just be able to wing it, but I can't this year. Anyone know some things to help me?Thanks And I don't want to hear " get off the computer" blah blah blah. It's 11 23, and my brain definitely doesn't register stuff at this time of night.

How can I improve my studying skills?
When I was in Grade school, I usually topped. I used to top even when I don't study but sleep a lot. I passed in a special science high school for students with high intellect. So, I'm going to that school. But lately, I'm usually one of the students who have the lowest scores. In my past school, I don't study. I just have to listen to the teacher and I still top tests. But this time, even if I study, I still have low grades. How can I improve my grades? I noticed that if I listen to the teacher, the information isn't directly stored in my mind. In my previous school, even if I don't study I still have high grades. Help me I'm quite alarmed. Thanks.

Effective studying skills or what?
Is revising and recopy your notes useful, or a waste of time? Most of my notes are a bit scribbled, and summaries of what is going on in the lesson. I try to keep them as brief as possible, then maybe recopy them at home in detail and good style.I slightly feel like I'm taking too much time doing it, when I could just be doing my work. But as of right now, I have so much work that I'm confused on what to start on, so I'm just recopying notes and organizing everything to clear my head and calm down.I don't have to do it, if it's really a waste of time, I was just trying what someone suggested in a video I saw, and she looked like she was unbelievably well organized and efficient in her studies.Just trying to develop good study skills. I also made a schedule that includes a personal life, and feel I might even have to change my personal time to library time, because I cannot even think right now. I couldn't even remember how to pronounce " Chemistry" , the try part sounded odd... My gratitude to all of you for your support so far. Although I accomplished very little today even though I had a lot of time to get a lot of work done , I was able to round down what work I need to finish up soon and plan a little ahead. Going to try to keep my head up, though the amount of work I have seems immeasurable. lWould still appreciate whatever tips anyone else has in mind. S Thanks in advance.
